School time is approaching quickly. Are you ready? Each year I put together a simple “Welcome Back to School” gift for my children’s teachers. This year, I partnered with Pilot Pen and created a positive reinforcement notepad and pen gift set for each of the teachers. What is a positive reinforcement notepad? It’s a way for teachers to praise a child for going above and beyond expectations or for a student that is a helpful and positive addition to their community.

I designed the notepad in Illustrator. After a bit of brainstorming I decided to call it the “CAUGHT YOU” Notepad. At the top I added CAUGHT YOU in a blocky font and multiple bright colors. I added a box beneath for the teacher to fill in what they “caught” the child doing… being kind, working extra hard, helping a classmate, etc. I left plenty of space underneath so that the teacher can leave a little note as well.

The colors I chose for my notepad coordinated perfectly with the Pilot Pen FriXion pens that I purchased at Walmart in the Home Office section.

I went with the Pilot Pen FiXion because not only is it a gel ink that writes smoothly, but it is erasable! No need to stress over a mistake written in pen. SO COOL!

Plus, FriXion Clicker 3 packs are on Rollback for $4.77, or the FriXion Clicker 10 pack is on Rollback for $9.88 at Walmart, making this an affordable gift to make.
