I’ve been gathering items for my children’s carry-ons for our trip to Florida over the last week. We only have a 3 hour flight from Vermont to Florida, but of course there is time spent in the airport and any delays on the tarmac, so I’ve put together quite the bag of goodies for the flight. Mostly I shop at the Dollar Store – I look for items that will be easy to pack, as well as easy to contain and clean up. So far I’ve picked up a couple of coloring books, some small Disney chalkboards, sticker books, action heros, and colorform clings.
Of course one item that I will be packing is the tray cover activity center I created last year for our family vacation on a Carnival Cruise. It was such a huge hit that I knew I would have to use it again. I’ve actually lent it out a few times and it worked well for all the children. My kids have forgotten all about it so hopefully it will be just as much as a hit as it was last time!
