Are you hosting a Halloween party this year? Looking for some festive treats to hand out? Give these Halloween Doughnut Hole Pops a try! They are pretty easy to create and don’t take a whole lot of time!
Supplies:
Lollipop Sticks
For Mummies:
Plain or Powder Doughnut Holes
White Chocolate
Candy Eyes
For Bats:
Chocolate Doughnut Holes
White Chocolate
Candy Eyes
Chocolate Graham Crackers
For Pumpkins:
Plain Doughnut Holes
Pretzel Sticks
Milk Chocolate
Green Chocolate
Directions:
Melt your chocolate in microwave safe bowls for 1 minute. Stir. If not completely melted, put it in for 30 second bursts, stirring in between each.
Mummies:
The Mummies are my favorite and give the biggest bang for the least effort.
Simply roll a doughnut hole in melted white chocolate.
Insert a lollipop stick into the doughnut hole.
Use your (clean!) finger to smooth the chocolate around the doughnut so it looks a bit more like strips of fabric).
Stick two eyes on the doughnut hole.
Set aside to harden.
Bats:
Cut a graham cracker into small triangle shapes using a sharp knife.
Stick into the sides of a doughnut hole (you made need to add a bit of chocolate to the edge that goes into the doughnut). Add a bit of chocolate to the back of two candy eyes and stick to the front of the doughnut.
Using a tooth pick, draw on two little white fangs.
Insert a lollipop stick into the bottom of the doughnut.
Pumpkins:
The pumpkin doughnut holes are the easiest to accomplish.
Break a pretzel stick to about a ½”. Cover in melted milk chocolate and stick into the top of a doughnut hole.
Insert a lollipop stick into the bottom of the doughnut.
Using a toothpick, add a glob of green chocolate near the stem and then form it into a leaf shape.
Set aside to harden.
A piece of foam decorated with ribbon or paper is the perfect way to display your creations!
I sent the donut hole pops idea to my daughter. A perfect little project for her 4-year old.
It sure is Bob! My kids loved helping me, though I’m sure they loved eating them more! 🙂
