My son came to me last weekend and asked if he could raid my craft stash because he had the “perfect idea for a snowman.” Of course I said yes and set him free and he came up with an adorable snowman craft. My oldest walked in as he was working on his project and she had her own creation pop into mind so today I’m going to share their DIY Snowman and Reindeer! These are super easy projects to tackle and they are super cute.
Both are easy to make and young kids will be proud of creating something that has such a great end result!
DIY FOAM SNOWMAN
SUPPLIES
Foam balls in 3 different sizes
Thin foam rectangle or other type of base
Pipe Cleaners
Pebbles
Construction Paper in black and orangeHot Glue Gun
Candy Cane
DIRECTIONS
Glue the three foam balls together with hot glue, smallest on top, largest on bottom.
Glue the largest ball to a rectangular base.
Cut pipe cleaners for arms and push them into the middle ball on either side.
Wrap one of the arms around a candy cane.
To create the top hat, cut a circle, then cut a rectangular strip from paper. Glue the strip around the edge of the circle to create the top part of the hat.. Lastly, cut a bigger circle and glue the top of the hat onto the circle. Glue the hat to the snowman’s head.
Glue on pebble eyes and a triangle orange paper nose. Use pebbles or pipe cleaner to create a mouth. Add pebble buttons down the front of the snowman.
