I am always looking for fun ways to craft with my kids. And I love those crafts to have a long shelf life so that both me and the kids can enjoy their work. This DIY Snowman Tissue Box Cover is the perfect kids craft that will get lots of use AND looks adorable wherever it is placed. My 7 year old and I recently had a craft day and this simple and inexpensive project is the result.

DIRECTIONS:

Paint the tissue box cover white. It may take several coats to get complete coverage. Make sure to allow to dry completely between coats.

Using a round paint brush and black paint, create two coal eyes. If the round brush does not give complete coverage, use a regular paint brush to fill in the circles.

Paint small circles for the mouth.

Add a carrot nose with orange paint.

If you want to add a bit of rosy cheeks to your snowman, use a round paint brush and dip it lightly into red paint. Dab the brush onto paper towels until there is mostly dry brush with just a bit of paint and lightly dab onto the snowman’s cheeks.

Allow the face to dry completely. Add a dab of white paint to each eye.

You can choose to add other features such as eyebrows or a scarf, leave your jolly fellow as is – whatever you prefer. Or maybe try google eyes instead of paint for eyes! So many ways to customize this fun craft. Once completely dry, place on top of a tissue box and you’ve got a fun and festive Snowman Tissue Box Cover!
