While glass jars are fantastic for this project, terra cotta pots work equally well, and might even be a better choice for younger artists, as glass painting can sometimes be a bit tricky.

Mason Jar Planter
Let’s get to making some playful Glass Jar Planters!
SUPPLIES:
Glass Jar or Terra Cotta Pot
Chalky Finish Paint (My fav brand is Americana Decor)
Google Eyes (We chose glow-in-the-dark ones!)
Paint Brush
Hot Glue Gun
Permanent Marker
Spanish Moss
Artificial Succulent
Paint the outside of the jar with the chalky finish paint. It takes about 3 coats for complete coverage, allowing each coat to dry before moving on to the next.
Once the paint is dry, it’s time to add some personality! Grab your hot glue gun and securely attach the google eyes to your planter.
Draw on a face with a permanent marker.
Add spanish moss to the jar and place the succulent inside.
Now you’ve got a fun and funky succulent planter that is perfect for gifting!
