ssoMy 9 year old son, Mason, has been big into learning how to cook lately. In fact, him and his grandmother set-up a Memere Cooking Class, where he takes the bus to her house once a week and they cook all of us dinner! Even at home he’s been offering to cook our family meals, or asking to help me with dinners. For his sisters 16th birthday party he made a pasta salad AND fruit pizza! I love seeing him so passionate and excited over something. Plus, I figure he’ll make a woman very happy someday if he knows his way around a kitchen, so I’m trying to encourage his desire to learn to cook. Since he is learning all sorts of new recipes, I wanted to surprise him with his very own recipe box and cards so that he could record the recipes he learns and make them in the future. I’ll share more on the box later, but for today I want to share with you the fabulous Kid Chef Printable Recipe Cards that I created for him.Printable recipe cards for kids including main dish, side dish, and dessert cards, category dividers and a measurement abbreviation cheat sheet

I designed a set of cards to match the recipe box that I made. The set includes Dinner Recipe Cards, Side Dish Recipe Cards, Dessert Recipe Cards, divider cards for all three categories, a Measurement Abbreviation Cheat Sheet, plus two kid friendly recipes per category! I couldn’t believe how excited he was to receive these cards! He immediately got to work filling out the cards with the recipes he has learned. I had to print more to ensure that he had enough to last for a while.

Printable recipe cards for kids including main dish, side dish, and dessert cards, category dividers and a measurement abbreviation cheat sheetI spent a lot of time on these adorably colored cards and of course will share so you can print some out for your own Kid Chef. The 8 page pdf printable is available below and includes all of the cards and dividers described above. Print as many cards as you need, as many times as you want! Of course these cards aren’t JUST for kids – adults can easily use them as well.
