One of my favorite memories in school was sculpting in art class. I absolutely LOVED bringing home my creations to Mom and Dad. And now I LOVE when my daughter brings her creations home. Since my children like to get creative just like their mom, I’ve whipped up several batches of Salt Dough so that we can make lots of fun things at home. Have you ever made salt dough? It is super simple and only takes three household ingredients!
SALT DOUGH RECIPE:
3 cups flour
1 cup salt
1 cup water
Using an electric mixer, beat together flour, salt and water on medium speed until a boll forms. Remove the dough and knead it until it is smooth.
Shape and sculpt with the dough. When completed, bake in the oven to harden, allow to cool and paint.
Pre-heat over to 275 degrees Fahrenheit.
Bake sculpture on a foil lined cookie sheet for 2 hours (may need to add additional time if you have a large sculpture).
