Meal planning is a lifesaver for busy families. It helps reduce stress, saves money, and ensures everyone has healthy, delicious meals throughout the week. I’ve always planned out my meals before grocery shopping and don’t know how people don’t! Typically it was done on boring old computer paper – but now I’ve ditched the paper and elevated my planning with this charming printable Owl Weekly Meal Planner!
AND I’ve made a matching recipe book that you can print out to keep all of your favorite recipes in one place.
This adorable owl-themed planner isn’t just for you! It makes a thoughtful and inexpensive gift for any newlywed couple starting their kitchen adventures together, or anyone who wants to take control of their weekly meals, so please feel free to share this with others.
Meal Plan Like a Pro
Each planner page provides a designated meal section for each day of the week, as well as a place to write your grocery list as you go.
Download the free printable PDF (available at the bottom of the post) to your computer and open it in Adobe Reader. Print out as many copies as you need. With 52 pages, you can have a full year of organized meals!
Keep your planner organized and secure by binding it at a local print shop like Staples. This creates a sturdy meal planning book that allows you to look back at previous weeks for meal inspiration!
Don’t Forget the Recipes! (Link to matching recipe book available below) Complement your meal planner with the coordinating Owl Recipe Book. This printable allows you to categorize and store your favorite recipes, making them easily accessible when planning your meals.

The first and last page of the pdf is the covers. The 2nd page is the Meal Planner Page. If you want a complete book – print one of each cover and 52 of the 2nd page.
Download the Owl Recipe Book
The first page of the pdf is the covers. The second page is to be used for categories. Print multiples of the third page, which is the recipe cards. Print everything out, cut in half, and bind to create a great little place for all of your recipes.

Do you have the recipe book in an editable format (so I can type in the recipes, and not write them all in)? Thanks so much! I love the meal planner — and the “cuteness” of it all!
Marsha,
I’m sorry, I don’t. But that’s a good idea!
I just found you! I love the idea of having my menus bound together! Thanks 🙂

I also found you on Pinterest! Thank you sooooo much for this planner!
I am making a schedule binder for 2012 and have been looking for a menu plan sheet with a grocery list along with it and this should work perfect. Thanks so much. I will definitely be linking to it when I finish and write the tutorial of it.
Totally great idea for bridal showers or even Christmas Presents.
I tried to download, but the page said I had to join and pay for a membership for the 4shared.com site? Is that correct? Thanks. jamilynn294 {at} yahoo {dot} com

Thank You SOOOO much.
You do not need to join the site to download this freebie. After hitting Download Now it brings you to a second page where it says Fast Download, Slow Download. If you want to pay to be a member, you can download the file right away without waiting. If you don’t want to pay to be a member then you just click Slow Download and after 20 seconds it will give you the link to download the meal planner.
I am so excited. I have been wanting to start a menu planner but couldn’t find the one I thought I would stick with. I LOVE this one! And you are very generous to offer it for free! Thank you!
