When we first moved in I put in that light fixture above the mirror and the pulls on the vanity, but that is it.
We have plans to replace the current wooden towel racks (who would make wooden towel racks?!? Can anyone say mold?) with metal ones, as well as the toilet paper holder and the soap/toothbrush holders and faucet. This will happen… as soon as my dog gets his ACL surgery – that does have to come first!
So what exactly HAVE I done to update it recently?
Paint (Valspar – Color: Pelican (soft gray):
I purchased a new ruffle shower curtain and bath mat:
New towels:
And I made a ruffled valance:
And I added this print (inspired by THESE by Kiki Creates).
(Guess what my husband was doing when his eyes came to rest on this?
No he did not know I was painting the bathroom…)
What an improvement already!
Can’t wait till we finish it off with all new hardware.
It looks great!
That’s funny about your husband wanting to create his own space… mine is feeling the same way and wants dibs on the basement. We’ll see how that goes! LOL! Great job on the makeover, and happy Mom’s Day 🙂
I love that print! I love you because! that is awesome!
the bathroom looks great too!
Amazing what a few little changes can do! Looking good–and I’m your newest follower 🙂
Why do men have to go with the ‘woodsy’ theme? I don’t get it. Now, what you did, even though your husband rolled his eyes when he found out you painted, is absolutely fabulous! I {LOVE} the pelican for the walls, your handmade valance, the shower curtain matches perfectly, and even the shower head was revamped.
I can’t wait to see the end result! And the colors do brighten up the bathroom! Great, great work! I especially love your ‘love’ sign! LOL
Have a great week, and I hope you had a wonderful Mother’s Day!
YOur bath looks totally different! Linking this up with us made the Creative Bloggers’ Party & Hop better and more special. Thank you!
Lovely Kim ! … there is a nice calm to this space now !
