Wishing all of you amazing mothers a HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!  We are off to Brunch with three generations of moms (My Memere, my Mom and me! Along with 31 other family members).  And dinner tonight will be celebrating my MIL!

Since our Master Bedroom is looking so comfy cozy with its new coastal style, I decided our Master Bath needed some sprucing up as well.

When we originally decorated the master bathroom I gave it over to my husband.  I had decorated the entire house when we moved in and I think he was feeling a little displaced.  He saw the camping bath set and just loved it.  It was not my style, but heck, it was just the master bath and it DID match the ugly green counter.

So this is how my master bath has looked for the last 4.5 years (well, the counter had been green for 3 years until I painted it!):

When we first moved in I put in that light fixture above the mirror and the pulls on the vanity, but that is it.
We have plans to replace the current wooden towel racks (who would make wooden towel racks?!?  Can anyone say mold?) with metal ones, as well as the toilet paper holder and the soap/toothbrush holders and faucet.  This will happen… as soon as my dog gets his ACL surgery – that does have to come first!
So what exactly HAVE I done to update it recently?
Paint (Valspar – Color: Pelican (soft gray):
I purchased a new ruffle shower curtain and bath mat:
New towels:
And I made a ruffled valance:
And I added this print (inspired by THESE by Kiki Creates).

(Guess what my husband was doing when his eyes came to rest on this?
No he did not know I was painting the bathroom…)
What an improvement already!
Can’t wait till we finish it off with all new hardware.
