My name is Cyn and I blog at Creative Cynchronicity where I share ideas for crafting, cooking, family fun, and more. I started going to Disney World in Florida with my family when I was a young girl and I never lost the thrill no matter how many times I went back. Now my grand-niece is very into Mickey and Minnie Mouse and it’s lots of fun to see her face light up when they get a new Disney item. I came up with this cute little Minnie Mouse Pendant for her while I was playing around with Podgeables from Plaid.

DIY Disney Craft: Minnie Mouse Pendant
These little plastic pieces are so easy to work with and have so many possibilities. They come in a variety of shapes and sizes. Some have holes in them already but it’s also easy to add holes to any when needed using a tool like a Dremel.

Supplies:

Mod Podge
Podgeables
Scrapbook Paper
Foam Brush
Xacto Knife
Aleene’s Fast Grab Tacky Glue
Disney Scrap Paper

Using a foam brush, paint some Mod Podge onto one side of the Podgeable shape, as well as to the right side of the paper.

Adhere these together and press to smooth out. Set aside to dry.

Trim away the excess scrapbook paper with a Xacto knife.

Minnie Mouse Pendant Tutorial

For the Minnie Mouse Pendant, I used Disney paper from Michael’s in one round shape with a hole at the top  – perfect for putting on a chain or cord and turning into a pendant.

For the ears, use coordinating paper and two smaller circles.

To put the pendant together,  use Aleene’s Fast Grab Tacky Glue to adhere the two smaller shapes to the larger one, forming a suggestion of the iconic Mickey Mouse silhouette.Disney Craft

Once this had dried thoroughly, use some ribbon to create Minnie Mouse’s signature hair bow.

All it needs now is a chain or some cord to turn her into a pendant. I could even glue a pin on the back of it to make it into a brooch. A quick and simple crafty piece of jewelry my little grand-niece is going to love. Even with the drying time, this took less than half an hour to make it! You could even “glam” it up a bit with some glitter, rhinestones, or other embellishments added on top.
