First I picked a picture of my daughter where she was standing straight up, though taking a picture specific for this project would be helpful – have your child stand like a paper doll with their arms out to the sides at an angle and their legs slightly apart.
I then drew some dress-up clothes in Adobe Illustrator, but you could always look for some in the Silhouette store or find some clip art online that you can trace in Silhouette Studio. Daunted by the idea of customizing it to your child? The Silhouette Store has tons of paper doll designs, just do a magnetic paper doll instead!
Once in Silhouette Studio I used the print and cut feature for the first time. Below is a quick video from Silhouette on how to do so:
This was my first time doing the print and cut feature and I am now in love!
After I printed the image of my daughter and the clothes I sent it through my Silhouette to be cut.
You could now slap this on the fridge and be done, but we wanted it to be mobile so I used an old Altoids tin as a little case. I ended up having to trim the image of my daughter a bit which cut off some of her legs, but it still works and the best part? She LOVES IT!
Ladies! I am pretty excited to share this months HUMONGOUS Silhouette promo!
