‘Oh mommy, I really hope my Valentine surprises me with a squishy heart toy that I could name Val. But if not, maybe I can get one for my birthday?”
That is what my youngest daughter said to me this morning. How could I NOT make sure she got her wish? I mean, I AM her Valentine this year! After I dropped her off at daycare I had an hour before I had to start work, so I zoomed down to my craft room, to heck with breakfast, and got to work!
A heart cut from scrap fleet, a couple of felt eyes, some cotton arms, legs, bow and a pair of rainbow shoes later I had a cute little plushie to surprise her with when she arrived home from daycare!
Super easy craft that took about 30 minutes to pull together and she is in love. She’s been carrying this sweetie around all night and is tucked into bed with it right now!
Happy Valentine’s Day to you! Are you doing anything special today?
