My 4 year old is just eating up her letters. She absolutely loves learning. The Uppercase/Lowercase Matching game that I recently shared turned into trying to spell easy to sound letters (ie, bat, go, Mom, Dad). We’ve used that game for color sorting, spelling and letter recognition.

To switch things up a bit, I decided to put together a fun little ABC Bingo Game. My son has enjoyed helping his sister learn her letters and to read, so I figured this would be a great activity that they could play together.

ABC Bingo is the same as regular BINGO – an announcer pulls a calling card out of a bowl or bag and yells it out. The players take a marker and cover the letter on their game board if they have it (there is 1 letter missing from each game board). The first person to get 5 in a row wins the game.
Do you think your child would enjoy ABC Bingo? I love using games as a learning technique. Kids are having so much fun they don’t even realize that they are being “taught”.
