The snow just keeps falling here in Vermont. It is making me have cabin fever and really, really wish for Spring! To try to push that along I decided to bring a little spring inside.
I have a small cabinet against the wall when you walk in my front door that has had family photos on it for a long while. This was the perfect surface to makeover. Easter is coming and that means Spring in my book, so I decided to whip up a cute little bunny piece.
I cut some scrapbook paper to 5×7 and then cut out a bunny with coordinating paper. (Do you own a Silhouette? I created an SVG file for this little cutie – feel free to download the bunny and import it into your Silhouette Library so you can cut your own!)
I glued the bunny to the center of the 5×7 sheet and adhered a mini tulle pouf as a tail. (Need directions on how to make a tulle pouf? Visit the girls at eighteen25, they have a great tutorial. To make it mini I used 1″ wide tulle and wrapped it around two fingers – the rest of the process is the same).
I didn’t have any white frames so I painted a wood one white and placed my new little cutie on my cabinet.Do you decorate for Spring or Easter?
What do you think? Will you be making a Tulle-Tail Bunny?
