Monster ArtHello seven thirty three friends!

I am so excited to be here today!  I need to start by telling you how much I love Kim.  She is such a gift to our little blogging community.  She continually offers tutorials and advice for new bloggers and inspires each and every one of us daily with her creative projects.  To be a contributor on her blog is a true honour!
BIG virtual {{hugs}} Kim!  Thank you.
Now if you have been reading my guest posts for a while then you know that we have a love for monsters over at Twin Dragonfly Designs.  Today I am sharing a fun tutorial for this cute Monster Embroidery Hoop Art.
 DIY Monster Hoop
On top of blogging I have a unique small business called Ya Ya Monster Dolls where I create all sorts of Monster related gifts.  Check out the tutorial for how to make this Monster Embroidery Hoop.  Once you have a cute little monster hoop lets embellish it with a fun word or sentiment.

You will need:
Cotton fabric stretched out onto an embroidery hoop
Embroidery floss/thread
Needle with a large, skinny eye

Monster Embroidery Hoop Art (2)Begin by sketching the word onto the fabric in pencil or chalk.  I chose “hello” for this Monster Embroidery Hoop Art.

Embroidery Hoop ArtThread the needle and tie a knot in the end.  Start your stitches at one end of the word and work your way to the other end.

Embroidery ArtNow poke the needle back through the material about a stitch length away from the first stitch.

EmbroideryDouble back and finish the stitch in the same spot where the first stitch ended.

Repeat this process until all of the letters are complete.

Monster Embroidery for KidsThe back of the hoop should look something like this.

Here is our finished project.  Cute right?!
Please let us know if you make one!  We would love to see it!
