It’s Shelly from Dolen Diaries here to share a fun, and super simple American Flag kids craft! There’s something about summer that makes me feel all patriotic – maybe because the season seems to kick off with Memorial Day, has 4th of July in the middle, and ends with Labor Day. Regardless of the reason, I’m digging red, white, & blue right now! Nothing is more patriotic than the American flag so today I’m sharing a fun American Flag Kids Craft with NO scissors allowed!
 Supplies:
1 piece of red & blue construction paper
2 pieces of white construction paper
glue stick
Torn Paper American Flag Kids Craft Directions:
Have your kiddo tear a blue rectangle and the red paper into long strips.
Have your kiddo tear a blue rectangle and the red paper into long strips.
Teacher Tip: Even though they aren’t using scissors did you know that like cutting, tearing paper also builds fine motor control?
Next, glue the rectangle in the upper left-hand corner of one of the pieces of white construction paper.
Glue the red stripes onto the paper. *Ash tore the top two stripes so they just barely tucked under the blue rectangle.
Now it’s time to add the stars! Tear little bits of white paper to represent the stars.
Lastly, glue all of the stars onto the blue rectangle.
