Looking for a fun Christmas game to play with your little ones? OR maybe you’re a teacher looking for an activity for your elementary school class holiday party? I have a fun one for you today! This Roll-A-Reindeer printable game is a version of my Roll-A-Robot. It is a festive learning game and a great way to spend some special time with your child.
Christmas Game
Supplies:
Dice (or search for “Roll a Die” on Google and it will roll for you!)
Roll-a-Reindeer Game Printable, Personal use only. Do not alter.
Instructions:
Download the Roll-a-Reindeer Game pdf. Save the file to your computer and open in Adobe Reader. Print onto 8.5×11 paper.
Cut out the reindeer pieces.
Tip: if playing with very young children, or with an entire class, cut the pieces out ahead of time. If you’re playing with 1st or 2nd graders, have them assist in cutting out some of the bigger pieces!
Playing the Game:
The printable paper game is very simple. Two players take turns rolling the die and picking body parts for the reindeer. When someone rolls a one, they pick the head, if they roll a two they pick antlers, and so on until all six numbers on the die have been rolled by a player and their reindeer is complete. Whoever finishes their reindeer first, wins! Of course, the other player can still finish their reindeer if they want to.

Love this. Printed and cannot wait to play with my 4 yo grand-daughter. She is just now at an age to follow directions well and I think she will really enjoy using what she is learning at pre-school (numbers). Thank you for sharing.
I am so happy that you can use it! I sure hope you and your grand-daughter have fun playing together. 🙂
I love this game. How nice of you to share. I’m sharing this with my preschool children (with inclusion students). We have been using the dot patterns on dice and dominoes for amount identification. They all are familiar with these. So this game will be a snap for them and great reinforcement. Also, turn taking is a big social lesson for this age. So a great big thank you!
That is awesome! I love hearing that people are able to put my printables to use. I hope that your students have tons of fun with it!
I love to diy crafts its very fun to do
Thanks! We did the roll a reindeer game with my 3 year old and he loved it!
I love to hear that! Glad you all enjoyed it.
Thank you!! You’ve gone international. We live in China and have invited small groups of our university students over to play Christmas games. We need something easy to understand as the culture of some games as well as language barrier can get in the way. I think the reindeer dice game will be a perfect addition. Thanks for sharing and making the printable available!
Love the roll a reindeer printable. I posted it as a part of our 12 Days of Christmas with the Kids. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks so much for sharing Jenny!
This is the second year I’ve used build a reindeer. I love it!!
I love hearing this! I’m so glad you are able to use it Kyra!
PS- I’m always up for suggestions for printables, so if you have any other fun ideas, send them my way!
Love this idea! If we used it in class wouldn’t it be a class tie though?
I’m not sure what you mean. You could break into groups and do it that way – or each student gets a sheet. It doesn’t have to be competitive though – it can be played with one player as a fun number recognition and matching game. ????
Thank you for sharing! I work with memory care residents. Planning to do this with our middle stage residents! They will love it and it will be great stimulation for them with matching, sequencing, and hand/eye coordination! Thanks so much!
