Hello 733 friends! Snowmen At Night is one of our very favorite winter stories that gives a fanciful reason for why their snowmen get wonky in the sunlight. Today, I’m going to share with you a Snowmen At Night Read & Create activity!
Ash wanted to create the nighttime snowman as well as the wonky, melty daytime version.
To make both you’ll need:
- 1 royal blue 5 x 8 piece of construction paper
- 1 bright blue 5 x 8 piece of construction paper
- 6 cotton rounds
- 2 cotton balls
- white glue
- 4 buttons for eyes
- 2 beads for the noses
- 6 buttons for the buttons
- 4 buttons for the mouth
- brown marker to draw stick arms
Let’s create the nighttime snowman first! Take the royal blue piece of construction paper and glue the cotton rounds in a traditional snowman shape.
Stretch a cotton ball out and glue it on the bottom of the paper to create snow.
Add two buttons for eyes.
Glue on an orange bead to represent a carrot nose.
Ash chose this adorable heart button for his snowman’s mouth. Isn’t it sweet!?!
He’s ready for his arms!
Adorable!
Now for some more creative fun!
Arrange 3 of the cotton rounds in a melty snowman shape. {Don’t you just love how Ash arranged his!?!}
Stretch out a cotton ball and glue it to the bottom of the paper.
Add the embellishments haphazardly and you have the perfect melty snowman!
I just adore the personality that comes out through this Snowmen At Night Read & Create!
