I’ve got a fun little printable for you today that is perfect for a rainy day activity, for the classroom, or just to spend some bonding time with your children! I’m sure you’ve heard of the 5 Little Green and Speckled Frogs children’s song, right? But have you heard of 5 Crows All Shiny Black, which is sung to the same tune? It’s a fun song for fall and today I’m going to teach it to you, so that you can put to use the 5 Crows All Shiny Black Printable Puppets that I designed! The song goes like this:

5 crows all shiny black
Sat on a scarecrow’s back,
Eating some most delicious corn… yum, yum!

Scarecrow winked and shouted “Boo!”
Scared one crow and away he flew
Now there are 4 black shiny crows, caw, caw!

The song repeats until there are no crows left. This song just screams for puppets so that it can be acted out, don’t you agree? In order for your kiddos to put on a puppet show, they need to have puppets – which is where I come in! I designed 5 Crows and a Scarecrow Printable Puppets that you can print off and put together with the help of your child.

That’s it! Now your children are ready to put on a puppet show. Teach the adorable little diddy above and they’re bound to have some fun!

Alternatively, you could easily cut these out, laminate them and add magnets and stick them to a cookie sheet. This would make it easier for one child to play on their own!

Don’t have a printer or don’t want to use up all your ink? No problem! Grab some construction paper, google eyes, scissors and glue and get to work creating your own set of adorable Crow and Scarecrow Puppets!
