Do you know someone that knits or crochets? Maybe you’re thinking of gifting them some yarn and needles or hooks? If that is the case, this tag is for you! Add a little humor to your gift with these knitting/crochet gift tags that say “Some Assembly Required!”
A little backstory: My friend Krista, who has had a hand in some of my best creations, texted me the other day. “Would I be a dink if I gave someone a skein of yarn and some crochet hooks with a note that says “some assembly required?”
My response: “I find it hilarious! I kind of want to steal that idea and make up a gift tag to share on the blog!”
Her response: “HAHA!! Go for it.”
SOooooo… here we are. You get to benefit from our random exchange, because I did whip up some gift tags. And I figure we certainly can’t be the only two that find this funny. And I KNOW we’re not the only ones giving or receiving yarn and other knitting/crochet tools.
I purposefully made the tags in a color scheme that can pass as a holiday gift tag, but that could also be used year round. So whether you’re gifting for the holidays, a birthday, or just a random “just because” gift, these tags are for you!

I love it! My mom sent me some yarn she had selected in my Christmas basket, with instructions to make her a new hat please! I’m sure she’ll get a kick out of the tag–I’m going to hand write “was” required! Thanks hon!
What a great idea! I have a cousin that did the same thing to me! HAHA. The hat I made her 5 years ago finally was ready to be retired but she loved it so much she wanted another. 😉
