Hi all you seven thirty three readers! I am so excited to be here today!
My name is Katie from Impatiently Praying for Patience.
When I am not trying to tame my house from being over run by hot wheels cars and monster trucks or trying to save my sanity one tantrum at a time, I am doing decorating projects.
I have what is called champagne taste on a beer budget. So everything I do is done in the most economical way.

I get everything from Craigslist, garage sales, or stuff just laying around my house.

I firmly believe that you can have a beautiful house no matter what your budget is.

One of our first projects to this house was updating our cabinets in our den.

I also like to make things as simple as possible.
I made these no sew curtains during one nap time.
It will be a sad day when nap time goes away.
I also love to use what I have to make a new look.
Like these frames.
As new wall art!
But today I want to show you how to make $12 floor candlesticks that rival Pottery barns that cost over $100!
Sound too good to be true?
Well it isn’t.
Here is what you start with.
2 newel posts, primer and black spray paint, gorilla glue, and fence post toppers.
It doesn’t look like much now, but trust me you will like how it ends up.
First cut off the bottom and top to the newel posts.
Which gets you this.
Then get those fence post toppers and maybe some playdough you have laying around.
Make sure it is level, cuz no body likes a crooked candle stick.
Then glue the newel post right into that fence topper.
Spray paint your new baby and then show it off.
Enjoy your new candlesticks!
I would love to hear from you.
