Today I’m going to share with you a fun cupcake stand that I made for my sons first birthday. This is super easy and really cheap to make.
Now have some fun and make it cute. I kept it pretty simple and just added a 1 I found at the craft store. I painted it blue, and then hot glued it on. Get as creative as you want…you could definitely add more frill! 😉
Then line the tower with cupcakes. These ones were Banana Chocolate chip cupcakes…yum! I really don’t think I’ll take up cake decorating as my day job though! These monkey cupcakes were pretty simple…just cut vanilla wafers(big & small) and then add some dots and a mouth! I think I imagined them cuter(got the idea off allrecipes.com)…but oh well they turned out fine. :0
ta-da! I think the large boxes made all the difference… and the grand total cost me about $5! Doesn’t that look way better then a plate full of cupcakes?
Thanks Kim for having me today, I’m always up for a party! Come say hi at over at my place and join us for Sundae Scoop on Saturdays!
Happy Tuesday!
Cupcake stand turned out great!

The whole things turned out adorable! Wish I had done that for the Curious George Party last year!
This is so cute and very festive! Great idea for a childs party!
Totally love the idea for the cupcake stand! SO EASY and effective! (I should have had that idea for our wedding … as we actually build a rather complicated one out of wood and metall … which has never been used since… )
But will remember this for the next cupcake party!
so cute and simple to do!! great tutorial
