Apple Upside Down Cake

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 13 x9 baking dish
  • 3 large Apples peeled , cored and diced
  • 1 White Box Cake Mix prepared as directed
  • 2 tsp. Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. Nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp. Cloves

Instructions

  • Melt butter in baking dish in oven while preheating to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Prepare cake mix, adding cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves to batter, stir well and set aside
  • Sprinkle brown sugar over melted butter in baking dish
  • Add apples evenly over butter/brown sugar mixture
  • Pour cake batter evenly over apples
  • Bake 20 minutes or until cake is fully cooked (toothpick in the middle comes out clear)
  • Use butter knife to loosen cake around edges, flip over onto serving dish or cookie sheet

Notes

Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
