Place 1/2 a package of Chips Ahoy Chocolate Chip Cookies into a zippered freezer bag. Use a spoon to crush the cookies. Pour into a bowl.
Mix in one cup of peanut butter.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Form small 1" balls out of the dough using a small cookie scoop and place onto the parchment paper.
Place in freezer to harden for 15 minutes.
Melt chocolate chips and shortening together for 1 minute in the microwave. Remove from microwave and stir. Put back in for 30 second bursts until fully melted.
Dip each hardened cookie ball into the melted chocolate using a spoon and then place onto the parchment paper lined baking sheet to dry.
