This year for Christmas my daughter is going to be surprised with a 4 day trip to Toronto Ontario. The main point of the trip is to go see an Imagine Dragons concert, but we also managed to book some other activities as well, including a trip to the aquarium and a hockey game. This is typically way more than we spend for a Christmas gift, but we managed to get some good deals including some free tickets, and she is really hard to buy for, so we decided to give her memories instead of a bunch of gifts she won’t do anything with.

But of course I didn’t want her to have nothing to open on Christmas so I bought small things that represented the different legs of the trip. A stuffed turtle for the aquarium, golden horseshoe earrings to represent Toronto being located in the Golden Horseshoe region of Ontario, so on and so forth. Of course I want these opened in a certain order so I whipped up some numbered gift tags. This was made much easier with the Printable Tags with Strings (22802) that Avery sent to me. Typically when I make Christmas labels I create the shape, print them out and then cut them out with scissors. Now I can print them, full bleed and just pop them out because these are PERFORATED labels. This makes me happy.
I downloaded the free Illustrator template from the Avery website, but you could design yours online with their online design software. It is very simple to use and gives non-design people access to a great tool to make some pretty fantastic stuff! After downloading the template, I designed my labels and then printed them off, easy peasy!
And for those that may have a need for numbered tags, I’ve made my tags available as a free printable.

Aren’t these perfect? So much better than me just adding a little number in the corner of a store bought tag.
