Looking for a fun and educational game for your preschooler? This simple “Build a Robot” game is the perfect fit! Scissors, glue sticks, and rolling dice, what more could you want for a preschool game?

After creating the game I printed it out and my daughter and I played together. We took turns rolling the di and whoever completed their robot creation first, won the game. You can also have multiple game boards going and see who builds their robot first.

Choose to let your child cut out the bot themselves or do it for them prior to playing the game. Glue the robot into place on the gameboard as a mini robocraft, or just place the pieces so that the game can be played over and over again!

This printable robot game is great for pre-schoolers, helping them recognize numbers 1 – 6, matching, problem solving, etc. But it is also great for all elementary school children – they really seem to enjoy playing this quick and easy game! We’ve played it a bunch of times with multiple kids and each has had a blast.

How to Play Roll a Robot

Supplies:

Robot Gameboard and Robot Parts
Please note that this printable is for [ersonal use only. Do not alter.

Di

Instructions:

The youngest player goes first.

Roll the di. Using the gameboard, find the number that you rolled and place the piece on the gameboard. IE: If a one is rolled, place the robot legs.

If you’re playing competitively, the next player would take their turn. Alternatively, a player can continue to roll until they roll a duplicate, and then it is the next player’s turn.

Continue taking turns until the robot is built. Whoever finishes the robot first, wins.

This is just one method of play, I’m sure you can come up with even more creative ideas!

Our family loves board games and spending time together. In the age of mobile devices, tablets and PC games, it is nice to get back to the basics with an old fashion game! I hope you enjoy this printable with your children or students.

After playing the game, have a little additional fun by creating Lego Robots to look like your robot creations or have a robot design contest. Let the creativity flow and have all sorts of bot fun! You are sure to be a hero with these other printable preschool games:
