Fall is here! The leaves are absolutely gorgeous, as always, here in Vermont. We’ve had beautiful fall weather with a few 70’s days thrown in. I am so thankful for my life and those that surround me and Fall is definitely the time for thanks. Since I love to surprise people with small, unexpected gifts, I decided to whip up a few inexpensive and simple Fall Gift Ideas. Our new neighborhood is still growing and there are tons of houses being built – I think these will double nicely as neighbor gifts, don’t you!
I put together two simple fall themed food gifts that I think most people would enjoy: Apples and Sea Salt Caramel, which is a total Fall flavor, and Peanut Butter and Chocolate Muddy Buddies with Reese’s Pieces, which is full of Fall colors. Read on to see how I pulled the gifts together.
Apple and Caramel Dip Gift Idea
Place the small jar of caramel into the treat bag.
Consider using Sea Salt Caramel, which is typically found in the ice cream aisle of your grocery store. It think it is a nice change from regular caramel and works well as a dip! You can also purchase a large jar of caramel and transfer portions to small mason jars if you have lots of gifts to make, or prefer not to use the branded caramel jar.
Place an apple on top of the caramel and tie off the bag with baker’s twine.
Attach the adorable Fall Gift Tag that I designed and you have a festive gift to give.
Peanut Butter and Chocolate Muddy Buddies with Reese’s Pieces Gift Idea
First we need to make the deliciousness that is Peanut Butter and Chocolate Muddy Buddies, following the recipe below. If you would prefer to go for a flavor that screams Fall, substitute the Chocolate Chips with Caramel Apple Chocolate Melts!
Once the Muddy Buddies are completely cool, place into mason jars and add in some Reese’s Pieces to get that gorgeous Fall color!
Attach the printable Gift Tag with baker’s twine.
