We’ve been in need of a new dining room table for a while now. I have a large family and the table we had just didn’t cut it when we had everyone over. Well, we finally found a table that we loved and made the purchase. It’s a gorgeous rustic trestle table with a hidden leaf so that it can expand to 96″. It comfortably seats 8, with a bit of room to spare to squeeze in 1-2 more people, which is really all our dining room could accommodate. Of course as soon as I got it in the house I started dreaming of the tablescape I wanted to set up on it. This is how it looked when we put it in the dining room (we recently got a puppy and we took up all of our area rugs during the house training process, which is why there is currently no rug!).

Beautiful Rustic Trestle Dining Table

And this is my dining room table after ordering some fun DIY craft supplies and ready-to-use products from Consumer Crafts

Beautiful, right? I love how it turned out! Here it is all set with my new dishes:

And I love having the table set – it feels so warm and inviting. Let’s talk about all of the details, shall we?

Rustic Dining Tablescape with DIY Wood Chargers

I found unfinished wood chargers to use in lieu of plates for the tablescape. They can stay in place all of the time, plus they can act as an extra barrier between our hot plates and the beautiful wood of the table.

Rustic Dining Tablescape with DIY Fat Quarter Reversible Napkins

I turned fat quarters into gorgeous fabric napkins and added a touch of greenery with the DIY napkin rings using copper wire and artificial succulents. I also added a burlap table that I made from a bolt of burlap.

The lanterns, candlesticks and candles were all awesome finds on Consumer Crafts. The candles are all on timers so they automatically light in the evening, giving the dining room a beautiful glow.

Lastly I painted an unfinished wood window frame for the empty space on my wall.

It all pulled together perfectly and I’ve received so many compliments on the tablescape!

I’ll be sharing tutorials for the napkins, napkin rings and window soon, so make sure to check back for that.

Next on the to-do list is to replace the chandelier with something a bit more rustic to match the rest of the room. Do you have a store that you love to purchase chandeliers at? Or know of any good deals? Share them with me in the comments!Rustic Dining Tablescape
