Have you seen the Snowman Christmas Countdowns made of wood? They’re all over Pinterest and Facebook. I think they are the sweetest little things! But I didn’t have any wood and the kids and I wanted to make something while they were off from school. It was Black Friday and I wasn’t braving the stores. Instead we decided to make our own, out of supplies we had on hand! Below I share a tutorial for how we made our DIY Snowman Christmas Countdown. I also made a printable version to make it even easier for you to make this Christmas Countdown.

DIY SNOWMAN CHRISTMAS COUNTDOWN TUTORIAL

SUPPLIES NEEDED
Snowman Christmas Countdown Printable
OR
12×12 White cardstock or foam
12×12 Black cardstock
Orange Cardstock
Orange Brad
Black Marker
White and Red Gel Pens
Glue
Scissors

DIRECTIONS

Cut a 10″ circle out of the white cardstock.

Draw a top hat onto black cardstock and cut out.

Cut a carrot out of the orange cardstock.

Find the middle of the snowman’s head and attach the carrot nose with the brad.

Glue the top hat to the top of the snowman’s head.

Add 1 – 24 around the snowman’s head in black marker.

Draw on some eyes and a mouth.

Using the white gel pen, write “Days ’til Christmas” on the top hat, and add a red band to add a little detail to the hat.

That’s it! Hang the Snowman Christmas Countdown on your fridge or wall and start counting the days until Christmas!
