Have you ever tried making Jumping Origami Frogs? They’re fairly simple to make, so why not create a whole collection? Plus, they jump! Create several and then have a race with your friends. I designed two adorable Printable Origami Frogs and created a video tutorial of how to make them. Print these sweet little reptiles onto computer paper, the thinner the better, and get hopping! Download the Origami Frogs at the bottom of this post.

Printable Origami Frog - Fun kids craftThese instructions work without the printable, so if you’re out of ink but still want to make a jumping frog, that’s fine! You’ll want to start with a square piece of paper, 8.5″ x 8.5″ works, and then cut that in half so that you are working with 4.25″ x 8.5″ inches and then go ahead and follow the instructions on the video.

I gave these frogs to my son and suggested he make a habitat for his new pets. Using a box, he added a blue towel for water,  lily pads from green construction paper, some cattails made from bamboo skewers and even a few flies that these little jumpers can try to catch. These don’t have to be a make and display project, think about how you can play and have fun! Moms, add them to a quiet bag for use in restaurants, doctor’s offices, or church.
