I don’t know why I’m on such a sweet kick lately! Anyway, I was sitting at home one day and started thinking about this super delicious, soft and chewy chocolate chip cookie I had from our local grocery store recently and I thought, hmmm… wonder if I could make some sort of trifle with those. Then I started thinking how much I love chocolate chip cookies and vanilla ice cream together, and then I headed for the store! HA! When I got home, I whipped up this Cookie and Ice Cream Trifle concoction and it was an instant hit. I mean, check out how delicious it looks:
Want to make one for yourself? If you’re like me and you like simple, easy to make desserts, then this one is going to be a new favorite.
Vanilla Ice Cream
Handmade or Store Bought Soft and Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies
In a small trifle dish, break up half a chocolate chip cookie into small pieces.
Layer vanilla ice cream on top, followed by whipped cream.
Repeat the cookie and ice cream layer.
Top off with chocolate sauce, mini M&M’s and a cherry.
Such a simple, yet delicious dessert! I think it would be even more fabulous using a WARM Chocolate Chip Cookie. Think about all that ooey-gooey goodness.
Of course, other cookies could work as well – Oreo cookies would be amazing. Or switch out the cookie for brownie!
And of course, you can get much more creative with your toppings – add nuts, caramel, or sprinkles!
These individual-sized desserts would be perfect for a dinner party and are sure to be a crowd-pleaser.
