Building a HouseWe’ve finally got to the part of the house build that I have been super excited about – picking our finishes! We’ve picked our kitchen cabinets, counters and appliances and now I am looking for the perfect sink and faucet. These are both super important to me since they are used so often. I have certain requirements for each and am determined to find the perfect items!

Picking the perfect Kitchen Sink & FaucetIn our current home I have a beautiful enameled cast iron double sink which has one super deep side and a smaller side. I love it, but it is starting to get dings in the bottom. I’ve decided that I need a stainless steel one in the new house to prevent that from happening. When I began looking I immediately went to the Moen website because that is what I know and like. I found two sinks that I thought would be a great fit:

Moen SinkMoen 1800 Series Stainless Steel 18 Gauge Double Bowl Sink – Square Corners

I’m leaning towards the square version because I love the modern look of it and I think it will look great with our Quartz Counters and White Shaker Cabinets. It also has Soundshieldâ„¢ which helps reduce sound.

This is similar to my current sink but in a stainless steel version, so I already know that I like the style.

The faucet is used all the time in our kitchen, so I need one that is of high quality and long lasting. I want one with the sprayer built in and one handle and I like the higher arc ones that allow for easier pot filling. I also like the idea of the soap dispenser option.

The two kitchen faucets that I have narrowed it down to are:

Moan Delaney MotionSensor Kitchen FaucetMoen Delaney with MotionSense One Handle High-Arc Pull Down Kitchen Faucet

This faucet is my fav! It is hands-free with Moen MotionSense, so super convenient, plus it is spot resistant, which is key for me.

This one doesn’t have the motion sensor, but I like the style and the fact that the spray buttons are located on the bottom of the pull down portion of the Reflex Pullout Head instead of the top.

So what do you think? Which one’s do you prefer? I have to make the choice this week!
