Out of the 30 people I give gifts to for Christmas only two are receiving a gift of cash.  The two I am giving the gift of money to are saving to purchase bigger items so I am helping to contribute to that.  But of course I can’t just put it in an envelope!  So not my style. I came up with this idea on the fly and am pretty happy with the result! Read on for the Money Bouquet Tutorial.

Quick Update:  I’ve been introduced to Washi Tape since first creating this tutorial and would recommend using that over a clear tape option as it is less likely to rip the bills!

Bills of any nomination
Lollipop Sticks
Washi Tape
Flower Pot or other dish
Shredded Paper

Step 1 – fold the bill accordion style.

2. Fold the accordion in half.

3. Where the two sides of the bill meet, match together and secure with tape.

4.  Do the same to the other side.

5. Tape the stick to the back of the flower.

You’re done!  Do up as many as you want – I did 5 one’s, 2 five’s, and 1 ten.  Stuff the flower pot with shredded paper and arrange your flowers.  I also added a Merry Christmas topper that I  punched out with my scallop punch and glued to a stick.

For the second money gift I used this video tutorial  to create a dollar bill origami shirt, 8 of them to be exact!  I then grabbed a shirt box and wrapped them inside.
What other ways do you give money?  I’ve also done a pop top can and a money lei.
