Looking for a fun and engaging way to celebrate spring with your kids? This “April Showers Bring May Flowers” spring coloring sheet, combined with a unique ice painting technique, is the perfect solution! Each month I help out in my daughter\s classroom, typically walking the kids through a craft. I created this spring coloring page for this month’s craft. It goes beyond crayons and markers by incorporating a fun and creative ice painting technique to create beautiful raindrops. This method not only adds a cool, textured effect but also provides a fun sensory experience for the children.

Time to paint the raindrops. First, you’ll want to learn how to paint with ice. We’re going to use the blowing with straws method. It makes a cool marble effect and the kids have fun blowing the paint around. Once the raindrops are painted, set them aside to dry and either paint or color the flowers.

Once the coloring page is complete, have your child carefully cut out the raindrops and glue them onto the flower sheet.

This “April Showers Bring May Flowers” spring coloring sheet with ice painting is a great activity for teachers to incorporate into weather or spring lesson plans. It’s engaging, promotes creativity, and reinforces fine motor skills.

Most importantly, it’s an easy and fun craft for children. My daughter and I did a test run, and she absolutely loved it! She can’t wait to share this activity with her friends.

So why not give it a try? I’d love to hear how your little ones enjoy creating their own “April Showers Bring May Flowers” masterpieces!
