For my daughters Taylor Swift inspired birthday party I experimented with a roll of sparkle tulle I had in my craft stash and ended up with this pretty Tulle Tassel Garland that I hung as a backdrop to the food table. It is super easy to make and would look so pretty in many different settings – birthday parties, weddings, showers!
For my daughters garland I used 6″x6″ squares. I’ve since made a smaller garland using 3″x3″ and they are so sweet!
Supplies Needed:
Roll of Tulle
Thread
Needle
Scissors
Cut a bunch of squares of tulle. Whatever size you want! Grab two squares, lay one down and then lay a second over that, but rotate it a bit like in the picture above.
Pinch the middle of the squares and gather to a point. Secure with a bit of thread – trim ends.
Thread tulle tassels onto a string or piece of yarn and hang!
I’ve seen these around Seattle, but always over an LED string of lights. Great idea for a garland – I have TONS of left over tulle from past projects!
Oh! I never even thought to cover it over lights!!! I bet it looks beautiful.
