Have you seen the new Dreamworks animated movie, Trolls? You know, the one with Justin Timberlake? I recently took my kids to see it and it was absolutely adorable! It doesn’t have any real scary parts and the music, dancing, and bright colors are tons of fun. We were singing all of the way home! As my daughter and I were hanging out one Saturday we decided we wanted to do a little craft together and came up with these fun Trolls Envelope Puppets. It is a super simple craft that anyone can make and kids are going to enjoying playing with these adorable little Poppy and Branch Puppets.

SUPPLIES: (Affiliate links for your convenience)
#10 Envelope – 1 envelope makes 2 puppets
Colored Paper
Google Eyes
Glue Stick
Markers
Scissors
DIRECTIONS:
Seal the envelope and then cut it in half, so that there are two squares. Trace the envelope onto a colored piece of paper. For Poppy use light pink, and teal for Branch. Glue the paper onto the envelope.
Cut a pair of ears out of the same color and glue them onto the back of the envelope, making sure the open edge of the envelope is on the bottom.
Cut some hair out of paper (for Poppy use dark pink, Branch a dark blue, etc) and glue it onto the back of the envelope.
Glue on some google eyes. Draw a nose in the same color as the hair. Cut out and glue onto the face.
Draw on facial details with a marker.
For Poppy add her headband by using a strip of green paper, and several three and four-leaf clovers cut out of teal paper.
That’s all it takes! Now place the puppet on your hand and have fun! There was lots of singing “Hello darkness my old friend…” and “Celebrate good times, Come on!” in our house, with lots of Branch saying “No!”
I hope you and your kids have fun putting these adorable little puppets together. I’d love to see what other Trolls you make… or maybe even a Bergin?!
How dobyou make the dang nose??? A good pattern???
I just free handed it… 🙂 I would definitely recommend pulling up an image to reference.
