The kids have their own “TV Room” in the new house and I’ve slowly  been getting art up on the wall. Since it is their space, I thought it would be the perfect spot to display some of their artwork. While out shopping the other day I spotted these large pallet pieces from Plaid and thought they would make a perfect Children’s Art Display.

I picked up two of the pallets, brought them home and spray painted them with Krylon in Bauhaus Gold, which is the same yellow I used on my DIY Dog Food Storage Container. I applied two coats and once they were totally dry, I glued on a metal clip. I then used Velcro 3M Command Strips to hang them on the wall.

I also decided to add a quote by Pablo Picasso, which was fitting for this little corner. I created the quote in Illustrator and then imported it into Cricut Design Space and cut it out of vinyl I got from Expressions Vinyl (BEST place to buy vinyl!) using my Cricut Explore. Doesn’t it finish off the area nicely?

I’ve made the SVG file of the quote available as a free download so that you can recreate this project. If you’re not comfortable with SVG files and want to create the file from a jpeg, I’ve made that available as well.

The wood palleta were only $5 each, and the metal clips were $3. Everything else I had on hand. Gotta love an affordable project!
