My son has become a huge Lego fan, especially the new Hero Factory and Chima Lego sets that enable a child to build their own action hero. Seriously, he put ten of these things together, by himself, in one sitting. I took tons of pictures because he was so into it and I loved his expressions.
(My son has these specifically placed so I didn’t chance moving things around not being able to remember where he had them!)
But then came the dilemma of storing this puppies. Especially when two are combined to become one and a few pieces are left over… you don’t want to put those pieces into a catch all because then you don’t know which is which! After a bit of brainstorming, I decided on using an over-the-door shoe organizer. It is the perfect size for all of his creations except for one. Plus, he can also store other action figures, like his Power Ranger/Batman/Skylanders collections!
If there are any pieces that are leftover after the combination of two sets, then put them inside the action figure organizer with their figure. If you wanted you could even snip the picture of the figure off the Lego bag it comes in and adhere it to the front pocket so each figure has its place and there is no mix up!
Have a little girl with tons of Barbies? These organizers are a PERFECT storage solution for them, along with Polly Pockets, My Little Ponies and Littlest Pet Shops!
