I’m Nikole, mom of 4 with a love of baking, stopping by to share another quick, easy and yummy dessert – Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars. The best part? These scrumptious bars are no bake! Just throw them into the fridge when you are done, let harden and serve! Definitely makes it nice when it is too hot to have the oven on.
These Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars are my soon-to-be 13 year old son, Noah’s, favorite! He talks about how much all of his teachers and classmates enjoyed this treat when I sent it in for a school celebration. Melanie, my 9 year old daughter, was so excited to help make these when I announced that this would be the dessert I was going to share. Don’t forget, you can easily incorporate your kids into baking at most any age! Let them pour in the ingredients, help stir, etc. It’s something they’ll enjoy doing and you’re teaching them life skills in the process.
Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars
2 cups crushed graham cracker
2 cups powdered sugar
1 cup creamy peanut butter
3/4 cup butter
1 Bag milk chocolate morsels
1 tbsp peanut butter
Mix all ingredients in medium bowl in order listed, leaving out the chocolate and 1 tbsp peanut butter.
Spread evenly into a glass 13×9 dish.
Ina separate glass bowl add the chocolate morsels and place in microwave for 30 seconds. Stir in 1 tbsp peanut butter and heat for an additional 30 seconds. Stir again. Place in for additional time as needed until melted (careful not to over cook).
Carefully pour melted chocolate evenly on top of peanut butter mixture.
