Post contains affiliate links. August is a busy month around here! Enjoying the warm weather, getting ready for back to school, birthdays, birthdays and more birthday! Both of my daughter’s best friends have birthday’s in August and they got together to celebrate this past weekend. It’s been 5 months since they’ve seen each other in person, so it was a very happy reunion. Olivia did all of the planning for the girl’s birthday gifts and together we went shopping to get everything we needed. And to make the gifts a bit more personal, we put together a couple of DIY Fabric Personalized Gift Bags using my Cricut Maker and Infusible Inks.

Custom Cosmetic Bag

Personalized Makeup BagThe first gift was for her friend Cecilia, otherwise known as CC. CC is a girly-girl and loves make-up so Olivia decided to do a make-up themed gift. We picked out an eye-shadow palette, some brushes, and mascara. Of course, we needed to create a custom cosmetic bag to keep all of the goods in. I headed to Cricut Design Space and created a simple design using the image library and fonts provided. The end result was a colorful and bright personalized cosmetic bag!

Candy Stash Bag

DIY Fabric Personalized Gift BagsThe second gift was for Ella. Ella is loud and hilarious and is so much fun to be around. She really wasn’t sure what she wanted for her birthday and the only idea she gave Olivia was candy! After a bit of searching we ended up finding some earrings that reminded us of Ella, and then we picked up several packages of candy. Since we were already making a cosmetic bag, it just seemed fitting to make a Candy Stash Bag as well. So again I used Cricut Design Space to create the fun “Candy Stash” design that we ended up putting on this bigger cosmetic bag.

DIY Candy Stash BagThe end results were two fun, personalized gift bags for two special girls. And it also gave Olivia and I some fun bonding time while we made the gifts! Win-win.
