Many of us have been following the stay-at-home orders of our government for more than a month now. But many more of us are considered essential workers and must go in to work each and every day in order to keep our community healthy and stable. From grocery store workers to utility workers, transportation workers to policemen, caregivers to healthcare workers. So how can we tell these essential workers thank you?
We should consider ourselves lucky that we are able to self-isolate and stay home to protect ourselves and our families. Because we are able to do that, it is important that we support those in our community that cannot.
A simple way to show that support is by sending a quick note of appreciation. For people working long hours, dealing with new and unusual social norms, an acknowledgment and thank you can go a long way.
The reasons above are why I designed these Essential Workers Thank You Postcards! There are two designs that you can download, print, add a personal note and pop in the mail.
Here in Vermont the stay at home order extends until May 15, although because cases have slowed dramatically, some businesses have been opened back up with restrictions. And all Vermonters are encouraged to wear masks out in public, even after the stay-at-home order is lifted. Is your state still on lock down? Or are you choosing to continue to self-isolate?
Even when COVID-19 is past us, these postcards are a great way to thank healthcare and other frontline heroes!
The printable postcards are for personal use only. Do not alter.
