It is time to start Decking the Halls for the Holidays so today I have a festive Gold Dipped Foam Faux-Bark Planter that will look beautiful on a side table, on a mantel or as a centerpiece for your Holiday table! I can’t wait to show you how easy this is to make! Seriously, it is a beginner level craft, so don’t be intimidated. I was inspired by the Gold Dipped Cube Arrangement in the Make It: Fun® Holiday eBook <– make sure to check this out because it is chock full of easy DIY Holiday Projects.
Gold Dipped Foam Faux-Bark Planter
SUPPLIES:
Make It: Fun® Foam 5″ Cube
Bark Design Wrapping Paper
Gold Vinyl
Design It:® Simple Style® Succulent and Air Plant Picks
Spanish Moss
Low-Temp Glue Gun
Scissors
DIRECTIONS:
Tear 2″ strips of the wrapping paper.
Wrap the strips around the cube, slightly overlapping each piece and hot glue into place.
Cut a wavy strip of gold vinyl. Adhere along the bottom of the cube to create a gold dipped look.
Insert the Succulents into the top of the foam.
Glue in the Spanish moss to fill in the arrangement.
Isn’t this planter gorgeous? And you would never know it started life as a foam block! Plus, I feel like I can never have enough succulents in my life. In fact, I think I need to head out and pick up a few more of these faux ones to use throughout my home.
