Would you like to make a super simple party decoration like I did for my daughters upcoming Little Einstein’s party?
It is very simple to do.
All you need is an image (you want it to be a circle – as big as you can fit on 8.5 x 11 cardstock), feel free to use the Little Einsteins image that I did, some 12×12 or other scrapbook paper, washi tape, skewer and a hot glue gun.
I cut (3) 2″ x 12″ strips of paper and taped them together, although hot gluing them is fine too. I then folded the long strip into a zig zag.
Tape the two ends together to form a circle.
Flatten it down and arrange the folds as desired.
This part is tricky because it wants to keep popping it up.
Have your image ready nearby. Add a string of hot glue around the circle near the inner edge.
Place your cut image onto the zig zag and apply some pressure to adhere the glue.
Turn over and add glue as necessary.
Next we will pretty up a skewer to act as the stick so this can be placed in a vase or even a cake.
Lay out a piece of washi tape a little longer than the skewer. Place the skewer on top.
Roll the skewer and tape until it is totally covered and press to secure the tape.
You will lay the stick in one of the folds at the bottom of the image.
Add a line of hot glue and secure the skewer in place.

Thank you for this! My son loves Little Einsteins and his birthday is less than a month after my second is due (any time this week). (His new little sister is even bringing him a stuffed Rocket ordered from Amazon!) I really want to do an Einsteins party for him, but had no idea how to get it done with a newborn. So excited to have somewhere to start. Looking forward to seeing if you have any other goodies coming!
THANK YOU! Even if we can only get one image, this is awesome! Planning my son’s 1st bday with Little Einsteins theme – hard to find anything now – so thank you for the time & energy you invested and sharing it with all of us (and those of us who are budget aware!).
