I very rarely buy cards. Typically I make them or I give my kids materials and have them make something. My dad’s birthday was coming up and we’d been super busy and I needed a birthday gift and a card so I came up with this “Happy Birthday Grandpa!” card that the kids could color. Dad loves everything that his grandkids create – no matter what it is, it 100% makes him burst out into the biggest grin. That is how I came up with these Printable Coloring Birthday Cards.

They’re ink-friendly, meaning they don’t require a lot of ink, so are cost-effective and make a fun activity for the kids.

These free printable birthday cards aren’t as time-consuming for kids as when they have to brainstorm and create a design from scratch, but it still lets them get creative. No two cards will be alike!

We also got my dad an Amazon gift card, so on the inside of the card I put “Thanks for being so amazon”. Get it? Amazing = Amazon? Dads always love jokes and puns.

And since I’m sure there are people out there that could put this card to use, I’ve made it available as a free printable – one for dads and one for grandpas!

The Amazon card is double-sided. The Coloring Birthday Card is single-sided, allowing you and your children to write your very own message on the inside.

All printables are for personal use only. Do not alter.
