I can’t take credit for this seriously cute idea, but luckily my creative friend, Krista, said I could share it with you. Just what am I talking about? These DIY Glitter Sunglasses she made for her Beanie Boo loving daughter! A campground they were staying at was having a Halloween in July party and kids were encouraged to wear costumes for trick or treating and a costume contest. Her daughter, Everleigh, chose to be a Beanie Boo and Krista got creative! She made these glitter sunglasses, a DIY TY tag, some felt ears and a tail to create an adorable DIY Beanie Boo costume! Scroll to the bottom of this post to see the whole get-up, which took 2nd place in the contest and earned Everleigh a crisp $20 bill!
Want to make your child, or even yourself some Beanie Boo Eye Sunglasses? Here we go!
Clear School Glue
Using a cotton swab, dab it in some clear glue. On the lens of the sunglasses, outline the edge with glue.
Once completely covered, pour on glitter.
Tap any excess glitter off. Repeat for other lens.
Let dry for 15 minutes.
Using a cotton swab and glue, carefully dab glue over the glitter.
Allow to dry completely before wearing.
As promised, here is Everleigh dressed up like her favorite Beanie Boo:
You can’t see them really well, but she has felt ears clipper in her hair and an adorable felt tail clipped to the back of her shirt!
