Looking for a fun and engaging activity to do with your kids? Tired of the same old screen time routine? We all love a good boredom buster, right? Look no further than the awesome Customizable Soda Can Game!
This game is all about unleashing your creativity and turning something as ordinary as soda cans into not only a craft project, but also a fun challenge. My little guy loves Angry Bird’s, so that’s the theme we went with. It’s completely customizable, so you can ditch the Angry Birds theme and create something entirely new!
DIY Kids Game
SUPPLIES:
6 Soda Cans
Construction Paper or Other Colored Paper
Markers, Crayons or Colored Pencils
Small Ball
Puff Paints (optional)
Glue Stick or Tape
How to Make a Soda Can Game
Trim the construction paper to fit the height of the can.
Using markers, Crayons or colored pens, add a design to the paper.
Using a glue stick, hot glue, or tape, wrap the paper around the cans and glue it into place.
Repeat for the rest of the cans.
Using a ball or other round object, paint on an Angry Bird Face (if using our theme!), set aside to dry. I cheated a bit and used a blow dryer to get this to dry in just a few minutes.
Total time, start to finish creating the cans: about 20 minutes.
How to Play
Stack the soda cans, and toss the ball at the stack! That’s all there is to it.
Each can that falls is worth 1 point. Take turns throwing the ball at the cans. Restacking them in between turns.
We decided to play 10 rounds and whoever had the most points at the end won.
Bonus game: if you have a bigger ball you could easily turn this into Soda Can Bowling and get a two-for-one craft project!
THIS is too stinkin’ cute… my kids would love this! Great idea!
